Southamania is located approximately 8.5km South East of Tenterfield just on top of the Great Dividing Range. The Property is the start of Barney Downs Creek that flows to the East of the range into the Clarence River. It was purchased in Early November 2013 by its present owner.

In 2014 a revegetation of the property and the repair of the Barney Downs creek riparian zone was undertaken with great success.

During 2016 the purchase of its commercial herd took place to kickstart the bovine experience. Successfully all first time calving heifers have given birth and are raising young happily in 2017-2018.

During July 2018 Southamania established itself as a registered Poll Hereford stud with the introduction of its foundation heifer Reevesdale Vena N021.
